Three art therapists demonstrate how to involve the family in child art therapy by bringing in the parent for part of the session. Art therapists Laura Greenstone and Cynthia Westendorf work with a young child and her mother who are grieving the loss of the father in 9/11. Dr. Judy Rubin works with a resistant adolescent male who uses art to metaphorically express the angst of adolescence. In both cases the parent and child are united at the end to process the art created.
