This is a grouping of films focused on the arts as therapy in medicine. The first film, “The Healing Arts” from the series “The Doctor Is In,” documents a range of arts interventions for healthcare settings including music, dance, art, drumming, child life, play, humor, drama and multimodal approaches. Vignettes representing a range of settings and populations such as physical illness, cognitive deficits, disabilities and accidents and burn units are provided. The second film, “Medical Art Therapy,” documents the work of Irene Rosner David, PhD, ATR-BC, HLM, at Bellevue Hospital.
