Discussants: Ulman & Bernard Levy, PhD, ATR, HLM
This rare footage shows Elinor Ulman and Bernard Levy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center presenting the Ulman Personality Assessment Procedure (UPAP) at the hospital’s psychiatric Grand Rounds. The video begins with Elinor introducing the UPAP to two young women patients. As viewers, we have a rare opportunity to see how Elinor Ulman, creator of one of the first assessment procedures in art therapy, introduces the four drawings of the UPAP and how she uniquely engages with each patient during the process. During Grand Rounds, both Dr. Ulman and Dr. Levy present their findings to the audience of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and art therapists. Commentary is provided by Dr. Michael Franklin, ATR-BC, who studied with Ulman and Levy in the George Washington University Art Therapy Program.
